Shopping

You know Thanksgiving is in just a few days right. I enjoy Thanksgiving very much, but it’s nothing like going shopping afterwards. I never went shopping on the day after Thanksgiving before. From what I have been told it’s the biggest shopping day of the year. I have been wanting to go shopping on what is called “Black Friday” ever since I have been able to walk. I love to shop all the time, most of all I love bargains. The biggest discounted day is supposed to be on this day. When I shop I look for fashion, style and price.

The Common Cold!

Just this past week my son caught a cold. I then went back to the beginning of life and thought about when I experienced a cold. The basic cold consists of coughing, sore throat, sneezing, and sniffiling. I felt like I didn’t know anything. I never dealt with a baby, while they were sick. I had to brush up on a little reading. I researched everything about the common cold. I kind of blew it out of proportion for the common cold. My family calls me a book mom. They think I read a lot of books about raising a child. I was real scared because I was dealing with a sick baby and didn’t know the first thing to do. Just by luck the government started taking the children’s cold medicine off the shelves, due to the abuse of it. I couldn’t find any cold medicines. I then got a suggestion from an elder person, to use a vaporizer. For once I put the books down and took her advice. My son recovered within a weeks time.

This Year is Going Fast!

I think about the months and days, that went by so far, then I look at todays’ date and realize there’s only one month until the year ends. Just yesterday I was celebrating the new year at home in my basement. Then I had my son in April. I was back in school in September. Now it is November, and I am writing this. I think someone is fast forwarding life. I feel like I am getting old and I am only 19 years old. I watch my child grow old and it seems like just yesterday he was a small infant. It seems so scary that everyone is getting older and time is still moving. I wasn’t donne with this year there will be so many memories to be stored from this year. Like they say don’t fight time, because you will turn old and gray, just embrace it with open arms. If I go to sleep today and open my eyes tommorrow, then it probably will be this time next year. I am ready for life and I hope there’s a lot in store for me.

Why do I get Sweet Tooths?

Recently I have been eating junk foods like crazy. I wonder why that could be! Junk food seems more accesible, than real food. Real food takes time to be prepared and may not fill you up as much. When I eat junk food I get this type of satisfaction; this unexplainable satisfaction is savoured in the back of my mouth. My taste buds feel a sensation and my saliva begins to generate. This sensational feeling may be why I enjoy eating junk food. I am a college student and a mom, so I’m always on the go. I barely have time to prepare breakfast in the morning. When I arrive at school my stomach is normally growling and I feel hungry. Almost everyday I am broke, with absolutely no money. I have a campus card for the school store and they normally only have junk foods. I am beginning to understand why I get sweet tooths. I am used to eating junk now and I’m immuned to it, so I always eat it.

How Hard is Math Really!

Well considering I went to Poly, a lot of people think math comes easy by me. Well they think wrong, because I used to struggle really hard with my math classes. Math I tell you was not my subject. I had to take algebra one, two, geometry, pre-calculus and calculus. Those classes just seemed like a blur to me. That was over the course of four years that I didn’t understand none of that math jibber jabba. God must have been on my side, because I recieved my high school diploma and recieved some mediocre grades in math. It wasn’t until I reached college that math seemed like a breeze to me. I grasp the concepts more easily now. I guess, because the amount of students to the professor is smaller. It may be due to the new technology that I have encountered to complete my courses. I believe that course compass really helped me to work out my math problems. Now that I have learned to read and teach myself, math doesn’t seem that hard at all. I think I’m beginning to love math okay maybe not. I think I’m going a little too overboard!

From Then to Present!

I was on my search for a new part-time job! I had to get a new part-time job, because school was in and I had to pay for my class dues. I then landed a job at a soulfood restauraunt, called “Gamba’s Soulfood Restuaraunt.” There I just had to prepare the side orders for the dinners that went out. I then stayed at that job for about two and a half years. I learned how to fry the foods, bake the foods and even ring up purchases. I went from one location of theirs to the next. I became a valued employee, shortly after that they wanted me to work all the time. That was impossible I needed time for my shopping and for myself. I then landed a job with my mother at a wholesale warehouse. There I just rung up purchases and greeted customers. Then I started college, and became a workstudy student. I landed a job at a technology office. I really loved this job it was so fit for me. My co-workers were nice and the work was very manageable.

The following Jobs!

Well after my first two jobs I felt ready to go straight into the working field and quit school. However I still needed education! The money was great, I was able to buy my school supplies, clothes, go out, and buy a lot of clothes for my little sister. My next job after the retirement home was a little summer job at a restuaraunt called Time Out Sports Grille. I worked there when I stayed  with my cousin for the summer out Westminister. To me work is like a hobby a majority of the time I like to stay busy, becuase it takes my mind off of a lot of stress and I like the money I recieve. I love to shop, and therfore when I recieve my pay checks I can go spend it on shopping. After I go shopping I then have to work some more. After my restauraunt job, I was employed at a survey office in the mall. That job only lasted for a week, because I don’t like to be aggresive. I then began my search for a new job.

My First Job!

Well over the years I have become accustomed to a lot of different work environments. I’m going to start off by telling you about my first job. I remember it just like it was yesterday. My cousin called me up and said,”Tiara I want to take you to this dry cleaners, so you can fill out this application, they pay really good.” Back then I was only fourteen years old, coming out of the ninth grade. We went to the cleaners and needless to say that following weekend I was working. I simply had to print out reciepts for the customers, tag the clothes, and give the customers their clothes when they came in to pick them up. I made eight dollars an hour then and I didn’t have any taxes taken out because I was getting payed under the table. I then got an order mixed up and lets just say shortly after that I discovered my second job. My second job was at a jewish retirement home. There I just had to be a waitress and serve bread, coffee, and tea. The pay there wasn’t so good. Then began my journey into adulthood.

Why does it rain?

When it rains a majority of the time it pours! When I sit in the house on a rainy day I think of a lot of things. Do you feel the same way about the rainy days? Sometimes rain makes you think of a lot of sad things, because it’s all gloomy outside. Rain makes me sleep a lot. I know almost every night it rains I get a good sleep. I wonder why do you sleep better in the rain. When I drive I sometimes become zoned out and stare at the rain drops hitting my windshield. Oh don’t worry I don’t that long because I then come to realization that I am driving and if I don’t I will crash. Some of the things I may think of is all of the deaths in my family and I also reflect on everything that happened in my year. I know it’s not good to dwell on everything bad, because it only makes you sad, however I think with every great shower a great person is remembered or dies. Then I look towards the sky and wonder why it really rains.

Finally Disney World!

My relatives and I finally reached Disney world. We rented a car a got a hotel room. After we settled in our hotel room for a little bit, we were on our way again. We caught a shuttle to the amusement park and I was amazed. Then just when I was about to take off running, my aunt put this leash around my waist. I thought to myself, ” Has this woman lost her d*mn mind”. Then she went on blabbing her mouth about how she didn’t want to lose me and how my parents would kill her if she did. I was so mad, because when I tried to go one way I was being yanked another way. That I must say was the most embarrasing thing I have ever experienced almost in my whole entire life. The next day instead of going back to Disney World, we went to some other amusement park down the street from Universal Studios. I did have fun there because their main attractions were water rides. You can’t hold a leash on someone, while they’re going down a water slide. Then the next day we started on our journey home.
